PholkTales: Encounters With the Band
So we went down to Camden to check out the shows on the third and fourth of july. We had mail ordered the tickets, and we had ended up with lawn for both nights. Needless to say with a hop, skip, and a jump we were able to work our way down to the middle section about five rows back. This is the third of july and had this real nice hippie couple next to us that had a huge leather case with them. The show started and we were smokin' bowls with them the entire first set.

At set-break I asked this woman what the huge leather case had in it. She smiled, and pulled out four murals of the guys. Each one was a perfect drawing of one of the band members in action. She told me that she had hoped to get it to the band. I leaned over to the right of me, and I asked the security guard if he would be able to help us out. This woman showed him the murals and right away he told us that he would take them back to the guys.

About 15 minutes later this guys came out with a backstage pass on and was escorted to the couple that was sitting next to me. He told her that he had given the murals to the guys and that they loved them. He then pulled out two backstage passes and handed them to the couple. Their eyes lit up, and the followed the man into the stage area. I wasn't able to see them that night but I knew that they had had a great time.

The next night (4th of july) we managed to sneak down to the same spot. We were walking through the isles, and I caught a glimpse of the couple out of the corner of my eye. I walked over to where they were sitting and they told me that they went backstage and met the band after the show. The guys told the woman that her artwork was awesome and that they really appreciated it. They then said that the band got mobbed by screaming teenagers, and that they were pushed out of the way.

They were about to leave, when Page walked up to them and invited them to hand with the band and have a few beers on the bus. I cannot even begin to explain how big the smiles were on these two fans. They had given something to the guys, and got something huge in return. Happy phishing!
